Paint, bake & care

Paint the outside of the glass only, and keep every stroke below the sip line. Leave the glasses to dry overnight, then bake in a home oven at 160°C for 40 minutes and let them cool completely before you pour.

Wash by hand only, never in the dishwasher. The house-rules card repeats all of this, for anyone who was talking at the time.

When?

Anniversaries, Valentine’s, the first night in a new flat, and any Thursday that would like to feel like a Friday.

How?

The box arrives. The ‘Do not disturb’ sign goes on the door and the phones go in the fruit bowl.
Spritz first, over ice, with an orange wheel on a brass pick. Then the menu: Starters, Mains and Dessert, twelve questions each.
Paint each other’s glass. No peeking, no refunds. They dry overnight.
Tomorrow they bake at 160°C for 40 minutes. The next round goes in the glasses you made for each other.
